Goals:
When presenting a treasure basket to a baby, goals may include sensory stimulation, exploration and discovery, motor development, concentration and attention, as well as baby's autonomy and confidence.
Place the basket in a place accessible to the baby, such as on a rug or in a safe play area. Invite the baby to explore the objects in the basket freely and autonomously. You can sit close to the baby to observe and accompany him during his play experience.
Allows baby to explore objects at their own pace and following their interests. Observe how your baby manipulates and explores objects, paying attention to his or her reactions and discoveries. Avoid intervening too much and let the baby direct his own play experience. To keep the baby's interest, you can rotate the objects in the basket from time to time. This will allow the baby to discover new objects and stimulate his curiosity.
